Dream Girl 2: Nushrratt Bharuccha says she is ‘disheartened’ about not being part of the sequel

Nushrratt Bharuccha, who was part of the 2019 superhit Dream Girl, has been replaced by Ananya Panday in its sequel. The audience also praised and loved the lead pair of Ayushmann and Nushrratt for their on-screen chemistry.

In a recent interview, the 37-year-old actress said she has a 'special' connection with the film. However, the male lead is still with Ayushmann Khurrana.

Nushrrat's reaction to not being part of the sequel:

Praising Ayushmann as an actor, Nushrratt said that he was a 'truly a pleasure' to work with and also considers him her 'closest friend' from the film fraternity. She also said that Ayushmann was the only person who called her when she was sick and dizzy.

Did you know that Dream Girl series director Raaj Shaandilyaa also produced Nushrrat's one of the last releases Janhit Mein Jaari? The actress also said that the entire set and the entire team of Dream Girl was very 'special' including director Raaj Shaandilyao. "Obviously, it was disheartening not to be a part of their second trip," she said.

She also ended by wishing the team all the best and said that she will be rooting for them and watching the first day of the first show.

The upcoming comedy-drama will feature Ananya Panday, Paresh Rawal, Vijay Raaz, Asrani and Annu Kapoor among others. Produced by Ektaa Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures, the film is slated to hit theaters this August.

The film's release date has been changed several times before. It was originally scheduled for release on June 29, which was later pushed back a week. It was later pushed to 7th July and according to the latest development announced by the makers, it is slated to release on 25th August.
